Rooted in the communication school which goes back over 86 years, the faculty of computer engineering has been launched in 2013. This faculty is placed in the Shahid Ghandi campus closed to the ministry of communications and information technology in Shariati Street. The campus facilities which serve the faculty of electrical engineering and faculty of computer engineering include Library, IT service centers, Book shop, Restaurant, and different sports fields in an amicable environment.
The Faculty consists of the following departments:

• The department of Computer System Architecture.
• The department of Software Engineering.
The Faculty of Computer Engineering with these three departments offers various computer engineering disciplines at the B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. levels. In this program, students will get a theoretical background on wired and wireless network analysis and design, data and network security, distributed systems and performance evaluation of computer systems.
• Artificial Intelligence
In this program, the students will learn fundamental and theoretical aspects of machine learning, intelligent systems, image processing, language and speech processing, machine vision, fuzzy systems, evolutionary and swarm algorithms, neural networks and soft computing. The graduated students are capable to design complex programs such as intelligent search systems and robotics.
